Happy person, happy relationships: A happy partnership is reflected in how we deal with emerging fears, expectations and difficult circumstances in personal closeness and affection in a way that increases our joy of life. Buddha was an excellent psychologist and therapist. His methods make us aware of the problem areas: our fears, clinging to fixed ideas, control and being right, our expectations, demands and judgments about others. Short communication exercises and meditations offer simple starting points to find mutual acceptance, appreciation and mindfulness. Then we learn to give and take, with all our vulnerability and all our potential for love.
